Ordered a new 20mm lite for my Revs and on arrival the QR lever is built into axle body rather than part of a seperate traditional QR skewer as before. Is this basically just a new design to stop people over tightening the maxle? ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Yeah was glad they've changed it after getting replacement for a snapped over-tightened 2009 one (on behalf of a friend obviously...)

Stuck it on today. Obviously use the QR lever to tighten the axle, but when closing its pretty loose on closing (is no inprint on palm) as if the QR doesn't really do anything. Is this right?

No. There's a small Allen bolt on the QR side to adjust the tightness-es. Turn clockwise til happy.
#edit: it's kind of in the knuckle of the QR on mine.

Ah, ok - does the tightness of the QR lever actually effect anything? Was I lucky not to die while riding ๐Ÿ˜€
