[Closed] Did we ever get to the bottom of the Whipit/Paul Wilkinson/MTBTerry scam?

...only asking 'cos it seems I was stuffed by this too.

I returned back from 13 months in Australia to find that the Racing Ralfs I'd bought in good faith 3 months ago and had delivered to my mum's house, never arrived.

So I'm screwed out of the £40 I paid for them. 🙁

I've tried emailing the guy and recently received this fairly mysterous reply:

I'm afraid your prediction of me being john is wrong, he was my flat mate up until mid january when he packed up and left without paying me a months rent that he owed and i have not been able to get hold of him since i have a number for him but i have had no luck getting through the number is [-BLANKED-]

Should I bother contacting the police?
