Trying to fit a deore top swing on this but struggling. It's a multi-fit mech.
Tried the grey inserts (28.6mm?) and it seems too tight / the bolt tip's barely engaging. Yet with the black inserts (30.9mm?) the diameter is too big and it's not tightening on the seat tube. No inserts is even bigger so no use.
There's a rare chance that the grey and black inserts aren't from that specific mech, just what was in my tool box. However, thought they were fairly universal between Shimano mechs.
I suspect I might be being a numpty and there is a blindingly obvious solution :-S Or I'm not using enough brute force.
Anyhoo, those of you with Alpines, what you fitted?
The alpine comes with shims to enable you to run a front mech- it may be its a stange tubing size and they are unique

Its a special OD size, bands are sent out with frames. You can use one of each Shimano size though, I did and it worked Ok.

The frame comes with bespoke shims so you can use a 34.9mm top pull front mech.
