I bought a pair of the earnley bib shorts a year or so ago, and another pair this month.
Cycled into work and the new pair are a completely different fit, the pad is about an inch larger in every direction and sits much further foreward, so that if I sat upright there was an unpadded bit 'tween bum and saddle.
Anyone else found this?
Have I accidentaly been sent womens shorts at some point or have they just been changed?
The old pair was the most comfortable I've ever had, the new pair is an utterly crap fit. Can I send them back as although they are well made etc they just aren't the same short I thought I was as buying and although they're not in a re-sellable condition its not a 'fault' your likely to notice untill you've been for a ride? Especialy as they made no mention on the site of the design change.
Best email wiggle to find out about returns. If they are not "faulty" then if you've worn them I don't think you are legally entitled to a refund.
I always found the pad to be too far forwards. They don't last much over 12 months for me before the pad becomes much less effective. Switched to there more expensive offereings which are massively better. Ladies ones will have it written on the labels.
good reason for "try before you buy"
Have found that the pad in certain shorts/lycra do not sit where I want them. Good reason to buy from lbs or wherever imo.
With internet shopping by the time you send stuff back most of a "saving" is erroded
nope my new(er) ones were like that. the pad was also so badly sewn that it had rough edges and chafed -had to unpick the pad in the end!
rubbish. wouldn't buy dhb again.
Trekster, not a problem, I had tried them before, I owned a pair,t he problem was I ordered an identical pair that proved not to be identical!
No problems with quality either, the originals have done many thousand miles and are still fine.
