My new road bike ensconced in the work's bike shed.

I was a bit twitchy on it when I first rode it last week but I'm much more confident on it now. Despite almost being wiped out on a roundabout in sunny Middleton.

Don't get too confident. This type of thing can happen

To be fair, the back wheel is raised so the bar angle is very exxagereated

There do appear to be a lot of spacers under that stem. Can we see a side on view please?

nbt - correctamundo. The back wheel is about 8" off the ground.

What is STS?

from the rules

http://www.velominati.com/blog/the-rules/

Rule 45:

A maximum stack height of 2cm is allowed below the stem and a single 5mm spacer must always – always – be stacked above. A “slammed down” stack height is preferable; meaning that the stem is positioned directly on the top race of the headset.

Bloody 'ell - you want me to make the bars lower? I'll scuff me bloody wedding ring on the tarmac if I do!

Cheers JonR.Unfortunately, I work in Chadderton so must pass through "miggy." I suspect 50% of the drivers there are still over the limit when they leave home of a morning 😉

Does my saddle need sorting too?

I spent 6 months working in Middleton around 10 years ago. Whenever I went to the Arndale I felt out of place. Not because I was wearing a suit ("'ere, you from probation?"), but because I had neither cough nor limp.
