At short notice, I'm off with a couple of families to delamere tomorrow for a ride.
From what I remember, the trails were always really badly signposted but apparently there are some new bits of blue. I was hoping they might be a bit better labelled?
Can't find any useful maps on the forestry website - does anyone have a map or can share any wisdom about the general situation there?
Got some young first timers coming so needs to be simple. I may head over to the skills area at some point, if I can remember where it is!

I've just looked on Trailforks and it looks rather sparse...
You can pick up a map at the visitor centre. The new bits are signposted once you find the start of the first one.
TBH you're probably best sticking with the made trails and skills area, the rest of it is an absolute quagmire.
Edit, I thought I'd maybe photographed the map and I did. Skills area marked isn't the old one with the 4x track, that one is top left, probably behind where the map key is.

Here's my twopenneth.
Unless you're taking real first timers, it's not worth driving just for the new blue trails. They're fun in conjuction with all the natural stuff there, but you need reasonable local knowledge to find that. Sorry Rich_s you'd probably have been better going to Llandegla.

It's like llandegla green and blue. No massive climbs, no descents.
But perfect for kids who've never been off-road before. And moaning other halves!
Blessed with a cafe half way around (the forest lodges) too which is where we're at (and I'm told the food here is better than at the visitor centre).
Trails are armoured gravel. No puddles to speak of at all. Busy as heck with walkers but very few bikes on the trail.
