Good afternoon all.
My winter play bike is in need of a new rear brake, disc is not an option as the frame doesnt have the mounts. Do i go for a decent vee such as an xt or sd7 or stick on a magura hs33 it will have occasional trail use but mostly commuting / weekend runs with the kids.

I would stick with the Maguras. They aren't as powerful as a well set up V brake but when the weather gets muddy the Vs performance drops off considerably. Maguras seem to stay the same in all conditions IME. Also they are fit and forget so no need to worry about filth getting into your cable outers.
