Full build - most around that price point seem to be very XC-oriented - I'm after something a bit more slack, relaxed, a fun trail HT rather than an XC racer.

I bought an Orange Clockwork S. Let my brother in law ride it and he bought one too.

120mm forks, short stem and wide bars give it a good initial feel. I have upgraded lots of parts but as standard it's a great bike. My brother in law had Hope X2's with braided hoses, XT clutch mech and this bumped the price up to £1300.00

To give you an idea of how good I think it is I have a Five that if you specced it up from new would set you back well over £3k and I am now thinking of selling it as the Clockwork just seems to be better.

I ride in Staffordshire so Cannock, Hanchurch etc.

Like that 901... weak forks though, and the 905 is over budget. On the right track, though.

Customer service and the Guarantee on frame is the best.

I have had one of These for £1150 from Start Cycles in Newcastle and its great. Possibly a bit racy but definitely worth a look at for the price with a good spec

On-One 456 Carbon is pretty damned good for £1300.

That's definitely among the best looking HT's out there. I demand pictures and verdict once you've got it!
