Does anyone know of any decent locks that are fairly short in length. No. 1 son has started riding his bike to school under Mum's supervision and we're locking for a fairly short lock that he can put on his bike. It's an Islabike Conc 14 so pretty small frame.

I've got an Oxford bumper cable lock that's 600mm long which is an ideal length, but I'd prefer something a bit more robust if it's going to be parked outside school all day....

Our youngest has been using the £17 odd Kryptonite Keeper Value Armoured Key Cable Lock 20 mm x 110 cm. Apart from a split outer sheath (UV damage?) that we covered in an old inner tube, and the need to occasionally lube the lock, no issues at all. We plan to buy a couple more.

Edit: Hmm, thought they did a shorter version in this range. Maybe not.
