As above, riding at Swinley on Saturday and want to go somewhere to eat after. Any suggestions - needs to be as close as possible!

i got pointed to the labrador or golden retriever.....

good food, good beer, good service.

turn left out of the lookout carpark, mile or two, the pub is on the first junction, pretty much straight across the roundabout

Come out of Lookout car park, down to roundabout at end of the road, go straight over and just on the left. Nice garden to sit out with bikes, not too posh inside, so probably won't mind a bit of mud. Beers good and food is ok too - not mega expensive ๐Ÿ™‚

What he said, but in different words! ^^^

Golden retriever is the usualy chain pub, wooden spoon with a number on it, wetherspoon-alike.

The black boy in Shinfield is much better (but a 15 min drive). There's another really good one nearby, but for the life of me I can't remember it's name, it was quite posh though.

What soobalis said, there's fek all to ride unless you know crowthorne inside out, and even that's unbearbly muddy.

Oh.....Swinley isn't too good currently, then?

I haven't ridden there since late 2011! Was planning on a scoot about and doing labyrinth several times.

Was chatting with a mate who rode there last weekend and knows it very well. Said it's a no go area at the moment for the most part, Labyrinth area OK but the rest is either closed or underwater. Even the fireroads are chewed up from all the logging traffic.

Labyrinth is open, but that's about it.
