Has anyone tried this light?

It's the HA-III SSC P7-C Here's a link

Looks a good buy on the face of it, with good spread & performance

Cheers for the link Zippy, I see you're a bit of an expert on these. I'll read through all that later tonight

What's your DX bar light recommendation - for best power/performance?

Expert? no.. fanatic forum dweller & advocate for DX torches... yes.
I'm hoping my Bar mounted light is awaiting me at home tonight, so can't actually confirm it yet myself (will do soon) but the considered opinion of the forum is that the bar light is as good as the torches output-wise.

I've run a torch on the bar without much issues until last wednesday when giving it some down a gully run, my handlebar mount (2 fish lockblock) slipped off from the oversized part of the bar to the 'normal' size part meaning it was pointing at the floor - luckily I also run one on my helmet so no harm was done but just be-aware.
Having used a Lupine HID previously, I believe the mounting supplied with the bar mounted light will be fine and a better solution than the zip tied torches I have been using.

What it comes down to though, I reckon is what you'll use it for... I like the torches because there just that a torch you can throw in the car or your pocket for use any time (walking the dog @ dusk, etc..etc), but if all you want is a bike light I think the bar mount/helmet mounted one is the way to go (though which one of those, I dunno...).
