ive finally got round to getting my bike out the shed and do a night ride tomorrow.

gone to put the light on charge and the charger has been showing a red light since it has been on charge for about 3 hours??

how long does it take to charge and will the light turn green when it is fully charged?

also does it matter which way round the charger plugs into the adaptor for our type of plugs?

cheers

steve

never timed it (at least more than 3hrs for a full charge I'd guess), but as your ride isn't till tomorrow night, what the problem?

Plug into adapter, any way you feel like, ohh must put mine on charge instead of waiting 4hrs before I'm due to ride, like last week (luckily there weren't fully discharged)....

DX battery is supposed to be 4.4amp hour the charger is I think a 1 amp job so by that reckoning it will be 4.4 hours min if the battery was empty

no doesnt matter which way round the plug goes in the adaptor

Takes mine anythig upt 6 hours to charge, and yes the light goes green.

I don't think it does, you still get +/-230V AC whichever way you connect them, just 180deg out of phase.

It will rated up to about 1A, but this depends on the current state of charge of the battery so may be alot less.

If it still hasnt turned green after 6hrsish can you check the voltage of the battery? If youre not sure if it's a battery or charger problem I don't mind checking it over for you, feel free to email if you do.

light will go green after about 6 hours as its a trickle feed. Leave it over night
