Off for weeks holiday to the forest of Dean next week - can anyone tell me of any good days out either on or off the bike - or recommend a good campsite in the area? Thank you.

Christchurch and Bracelands are basically the same site. The Christchurch half is open all year. It's a good site with a shop/ cafe. The pub up the road does good food but I can't remember the name.

We stayed here a few years ago, it was bloomin' lovely.

Stuff to do - walks round Symonds Yat looking at the falcons, day at the National Bird of Prey Centre in Newent, Clearwell Caves, lots of canoeing, Three Choirs Vineyard.

Thanks to all, we've booked a pitch at Christchurch ๐Ÿ˜€ but apparently have to book uplift and nowt available when we go :(. We dont mind though, just looking forward to seeing/riding in a different part of the world - thinking of dropping in at Cannock on the way back too just so we can cross it off the list.
