Wow. Impressive effort, but I can't help thinking that it would be a lot easier with a handful of electronic components. Admittedly lean angle is a tricky one, as the "obvious" normal method of measuring angle using accelerometers would always show a lean angle of zero on a bike (I'd be intrigued to put an accelerometer on that rig though and see whether as I suspect you could calculate lean angle based on the magnitude of the value measured).
