Any suggestions for rides from Widecombe? Other than the usual MBR published ones. Looks like most will include a steep road climb out of the village, or a ride north to the Grimspound road. What about non road descents back into the village?

Thanks

you can get back to widecombe off hameldown ridge IIRC.
depends where you're coming from i guess but houndtor CP is typically easier to get to, particularly in the summer months, and you can disappear off in 4 directions from there.

yeah.. take the Natsworthy road north out of Widecombe until you get to errr, Natsworthy, and then all of the regular east Dartmoor rides become available to you...

As del says, riding back to widders along the hameldown ridge is the best off road option

to be honest though, I've spent so much time riding east dartmoor, it was a bit of a shock just now when I turned over the map and discovered that there is a whole south area too!!
