Looking to do an overnight soon, and was wondering if it was off colour to ask if anyone has any suggestion for bivi spots.

Ive stayed up at Fogintor before (///handbook.salaried.raced) and just off Hound tor ( about ///silver.roosters.alleges).

Any other suggestions for nice spots?

There must be loads. Years ago me and a girlfriend noted an island in the middle of Amicombe Brook on a Ten Toes training hike that we went back to in the summer. Miles from anywhere, got set up and then became aware of a group of squaddies camped on the opposite bank who'd been watching us the whole time.ย

So not there.ย

You've just reminded me of the time a couple of us were wandering about on the moor and gradually realised that we were surrounded by about a regiment of camouflaged squaddies. Good job we weren't up to mischief! ๐Ÿ˜€ย

If it hasn't rained for a bit, the top off Cosden is quite pleasant. Can be a bit boggy though, so choose wisely

Staple tor has some nice spots but close to the road so can get busy.ย

links tor if you want to get high up. Can ride nearly to the top up the old rattlebrook railway and there is a great descent off the top right back down to the lyd.ย
