He’s gone to work as far as I’m concerned, like a lot of us.

I could understand the gen pop not getting that a bloke on his bike could be at work, but I’m really surprised some people on here don’t think that. I realise I must be missing something but can’t figure out what?

I'm not entirely sure either, which is why I asked...I think it is because he appears to be on a wee holiday with his family, driving hundreds of miles to ride his bike in a popular place that many people have been avoiding as they have been following their understanding of the guidance (which seems to be widely done). His behaviour appears to be against the guidelines (in England and Scotland).

Well, I don’t know his circumstances but devils advocate would say his wife is his manager and they work together, and they have their children with them because again, like most of us with kids, the only option is to have your kids with you while you’re working.

I’m not sure what guidelines he’s breaking? Big and small groups of workers have been working together all the way through lockdown for work, north and south of the border since the 23rd March.

Some posters have said about stopping for fuel. How’s that any different from a delivery driver stopping for fuel? They are both at work?

I’m pretty envious he gets to do it to be honest, but I can’t really understand the outcry (not necessarily you, OP) on this thread).

Nearly hitting peak STW self righteousness here, and that’s saying something given the general atmosphere of this place. Most of you lot would presumably have been stoning to death adulterers in biblical times.

Plenty of (Scottish) people discussing going for long rides in Scotland

What's the problem with discussing going for long rides in Scotland, and what has that got to do with someone driving several hundred miles unnecessarily?

You are not supposed to travel to use the forests, pro rider or not. If you are not local you have to stay away.
