Passing through the Lake District tomorrow, thinking of parking up at the southern end of Coniston, riding on the road up past Brantwood, then up into Grizedale, doing the last bit then the first bit of the NF Trail, then up onto Parkamoor and finishing down the High Nibthwaite descent.

Sound ok?

Any other offers?

Something along those lines would be my choice on a CX bike too. I've done Grizedale, NFT and Claife Heights a few times on mine.

Don't know where you're driving from but assuming you're coming from the motorway and A590 you can save yourself a bit of a drive by just parking at Newby Bridge instead of driving all the way round to Greenodd and Blawith...

I'll be heading on towards the badlands of the far western Lake District coast anyway, so it makes little difference...

Fair point, in that case you get a bit more easy-to-access (and navigate) off-road from Blawith.

Sounds alrite, but the nibthwaite descent( parkamoor) is fairly rocky.

I'd do a lawson park descent instead. Either right at the house through the gate, or go left of the house and then right. Bit less rocky.

Or you could do some trails round blawith common, bit smoother for you.

Done nibthwaite on the mtb, I know there are some tricky bits, but I'm up for that...
