I'm wondering when to ride home, it's been sunshine and showers all day.

No idea why I never looked for this before but I will be using it extensively from now on.

And now I've got an app - Rain Alarm. I'm sure I'm late to the party, but still happy I made it!

I tend to look at the rainfall radar map Met Office website to give me an idea.

I always carry a lightweight waterproof in my rucksack though and leave a back light attached to my bike just in case the weather turns.

I use the met office app, I find it scarily accurate. If it says rain at 7pm then almost every time it will be raining at 7pm.

This is why the guards stay on my road bike all year round. It started raining the moment I left the office and got steadily heavier.

I dodged the rain, I couldn't stand having the roadie with me in Town and not use it.

Dodged a huge downpour at 5, sun came out at half 6 so I hacked out and along some horrid red route to the back of beyond in SE London (that was Grim) then found solace on the right side of the river and hacked back to Shiney Town.

Turned around to see what loads of folks were watching (as I was heading away from Town) to the stunning sight of a mahoosive black cloud hanging over the City yet with the most amazing yellow/bronze sunset peeking out from either side of this cloud.

T'was the only good thing about the ride TBH.

Dodged it too. Saw black clouds rolling in from the north. Hopped on my bike and headed home. Just spitting on my back as I left the toon and headed west towards the sunshine. Managed to stay ahead of it but the thunder started about 15 minutes after I put the bike away.
