Been looking at the Polaris range and also Ron Hill tracksters just for their convenience. Any other recommendations as he is now riding more regularly joggers just dont cut the mustard especialy this time of year. I think tights/lycra will be a no no and be more likely to put him off riding.

Was going to suggest Isla Bikes clothing range, but you don't want lycra. That said if leg warmers and arm warmers are wanted then they do kids ones.

Have you visited a Decathlon store, I think their off road range is called Rockrider, always had kids sizes in there kit when I've been there.

Try just juniors, it is a website catering just for children this is the link for the shorts http://www.justjuniorscyclewear.co.uk/shop/index.php/categories/view/8
don't be put off by the bib tights at the top of the page there is a good range of baggies further down.

My sons have the following:

Trek outer top (was a present - great for this time of the year)
Woman's shorts - they fitted around his legs
Be Twin inners
General tops from decathlon
Normal shorts over liners/inners
Downhill youth (large) tops
Polaris (I think) jacket
