A quick scan would suggest that whilst tubeless works well on road and on mountain bikes, it doesn't always fare well in a CX set up.
Is this because a fair few are using non tubeless specific rims and tyres?
The set up that'll be on my next crosser will be tubeless 'ready' rims and tyres, that I have to add valves and jollop to. Would I be foolish to assume these would work perfectly at race pressures and pressure?

It's the darkest of black arts. If everybody says a particular combo works...doesn't mean it does!

See HERE from the other day.

What tyres do you have in mind out of interest?

It's a Giant, so their stock wheelset and Schwalbe Super Swan, which are tubeless ready and made for giant. Based on Rocket Rons AFAICT

I've just fitted some Vittoria XG tubeless tyres to some Archetype rims. Went on and inflated no problems.

I also tried them on a Crest 29er rim and there was not a cat in hells chance they were going on.

RG, where did you source the XGs? For the life of me I can't find the TNT versions.

Interested to her about the super swans. Wonder if anywhere sells them as OEM??

I think I got them from High On Bikes but it appears they don't have any left, either on the website or their ebay shop.

I have run both Kenda and Vittoria on Shimano tubeless rims. Put one rim on with a tube then the other with a compressor. Runs fine with Stans
