[#2728460]

I see there's another CX Sportive in/around Wantage area coming up at the end of June.

Did anyone ride the one over the winter and what was it like?

Did HONC, which although wasn't pitched as one, was perfectly suited to it..

Enjoyed it a lot.

It was ok, if rather cold. An amazing number of punctures (to other people). Lots of people seem unable to ride off road with any confidence. Harder than you might have expected.

Looks interesting, but be up for giving this a blast. What to go for though 40km 60km or 100k?, having never done anything like it before.

I'm thinking of the big one: 100kms.

Hopefully it'll be dry and dusty!

Might do it, will depend on it clashing with prep for the Maratona.
Just do the long ride - 130km next Sunday on cx bike.

I did the one over the winter and I thought it was fairly good. They managed to make goods use of the roads to link up the better bits of off road in the area. A real mixture of bikes.

I was one of the people with a puncture, a snake bite on one of the descents an hour or so into the course.

I was on a SS CX bike and found the road sections a bit spinny, I am planning to do the longer route from Wantage and will probably take the geared mtb.

No, it was a Felt Breed with weird handle bars.
