I'm having problems finding vertical lock washers for the Shimano Alfine hub. Can you get by with the horizontal one? I haven't bought the hub yet, but I want to take advantage of the On-One deal that they've got going at the minute..

Also, which anti-rotation washers you will need to use depends on whether you are routing the cable along the chainstay or up the seatstay.
If you use the seatstay routing then you might get away with the horizontal washers, as Shimano always assume chainstay routing.
Also, check with Sideways cycles. I know for a fact he has an alfine built onto a wheel right now looking for an owner. You might be able to get a deal there. Say I sent you.
