evening....
am heading up to the mothers for a couple of days next week and fancy bringing the new cx bike along. are there any off road routs from new whittington area that are good for an absolute cx novice? or would i be better heading into the peaks?

Check the sustrans maps on their website - think there are a few "trails" that may take you in the direction of Sherwood Pines, with a bit of creativity.
I'm too far down the Great County to be more specific though 🙁
Chesterfield canal- TPW- Rother valley park- then i go up to dore then on the bridleways around stannage etc.
Have you got gps?
No GPS sadly... Good old fashioned maps. Will have a look at that route tho as I have more family in hathersage and tea and cake is always on the menu!
