Hi, I'm new here, So go easy.........

I've been lurking on the Grit CX forum but there's not much going on there and I've only got a CX bike I don't race it, it's purely for the fitness.

So, the wet weather arrived early and for some strange reason i got thoroughly pussed off really early with getting muddy so I decided to try my hand on my old CX bike that's been pretty much unused for 4 years, not surprisingly I got shitted up to the eyeballs on that so a pair of 32C Schwalbe marathon plus tyres later, a new stem, better brake blocks and some Lycra I,ve taken to peddling on the road, this has been going on for nearly 2 months now and there's no sign of me tiring just yet, I,m getting or should I say got fitter. I,m getting out every opportunity as opposed to once or twice a week and nipping off 50 milers now, so my question is this? When I'm descending and cranking it out probably about 40 ish MPH when I look down at the frame the top tube so from the headset back is swaying about like a witches broomstick, this literally scared the shit out of me as it has dried out on the road the last few days my speed has increased and now the knobly tyres are off I've kinda gained some confidence, until I looked down and saw the swaying.

This is obviously pedal induced, it's not a road bike it's an ally CX bike with a tad of relaxed geometry, is this the cause of concern as it's not built for speed it's made for strength.

Oh and one last thing, I'm absolutely loving the CX bike, I hated it 5 years ago but I'm definitely feeling fitter now I'm off the MTB, I never honestly thought that would be the case but come the spring I'm definitely going to be way fitter banging out the miles on the road.

I've had the death wobble on a road bike before. I don't think it's necessarily bike specific.
Worth checking your rims are true as i've found that disc braked bikes mask rim wobble - rubbing brake blocks are a giveaway on rim brakes.
