Anyone know why Raceface put a line on their bars, beyond which you're not supposed to cut? I've already gone beyond it on my used to be 800mm bars but I plan to take some more off and am presumably going to die horribly.

Presumable due to how they are made/configured.

'cut down'? I thought the fashion these days was 'wider, even wider'.

might be that the ends are a bit more flexible, and the central part is a bit stronger, or from that point the layup is different?
probably void the warranty if that bothers you.

maybe thinner walls, not reinforced for fitting levers etc ?
