Before I do anyting stupid ๐Ÿ™‚

Can I just gently prise it off the 'old' forks with a srewdriver and push it onto the 'new' ones

Or is that too simple and I will mess up badly if I try to do it that way?

Thanks

screw driver to get it off, metal tube that will fit over your steerer tube is the best way , if you cant find on try a block of wood and a hammer

Thats about it - work round it to get it off and don't use enough force to bend it - best put on with a tube as a drift and don't hit on the bearing tracks.

Again heat it - I always put the race in a mug of boiling water
