which one would you go for, or which do you use/recommend?
is the grip that much better on wider one?
i need to order it today so help me decide!
will be running it solely as a rear, running ignitor 2.35ust up front....

If your running a 2.35 up front you probably want to go for the 2.25 to match. Grip wise both are pretty good but the 2.25 has scaled up tread blocks so is a little gripier, however dont assume this means it makes it grippy in mud, neither are fantastic in mud (tho many, me included, find they are happy with the performance if expectations are realistic)
Should say, i use the 2.1 on XC bike, 2.25 on 'trail' bike.
Personally I'd go for the 2.25 as they look like they come up quite narrow particularly if you're running a ignitor 2.35 on the front...I know it depends on tread pattern but my 2.1 certainly looks narrow compared to the 2.1 Nevegal on the front.

yeah ive got mudx's which i swear by for winter/mega wet prolonged periods...
got the ignitor already and want a crossmark just for summer time only...
would you also notice much difference in speed too? is the 2.25 likley to be alot slower than the 2.1?
LUST 2.25 ardent up front and 2.25 crossmark on rear Zesty 714. You wont see any noticable drag from the crossmarks.
2.25 every time. The minimal tread works well on the generous carcass. Ardent F CrossMark R is a killer combo
