Thinking of getting a cross bike but at 6 foot would a 56cm seat tube frame be suitable?
I guess the tt length will usually about the same as this?
Not going to race on it

I would say yes but the Horiz TT length is more reliable a measurement than the TT seat tube length. I have a 56cm Ribble Winter bike and Spesh Tarmac 56cm and I am 6 ft 🙂
If you are new to road bikes/Cross bikes then I'd take one out on the road for 30 mins?

56 sounds about right for you, but I would say if at all possible ride the same model somewhere before you make your decision...

I'm 5ft 11 and a 56cm road bike is too small for me, and ride an 18" MTB frame with a long (10cm) stem
