Good finish today. Should see plenty more of that the next couple of days.

I had a dream the other night, i was trying to pedal fast but not making any progress. Froome rides like this for real, but its an optical illusion because he drops everyone. i don't understand it.

Richie didn't seem happy with his team, did he?

Lovely to see Bertie Beefeater getting dropped!

These short sharp climbs really seem to work well and sorting out the top guys.

I guess Ritchie's idea was to work together to put as much time into Bertie as possible.

Eh? Richie's idea was to win the stage, grab the time bonus, and lead the race. Putting more time into Bertie would have been a bonus.

That wasn't going to happen by working with Froome. That's why his team wanted him to sit on and not work.

Why would he not have gone with Froome? I don't see that he had much choice other than to go with Froome. Lost a few seconds but gained time on everyone else and is now only 7 seconds down on Froome with 20 seconds on Bertie. Pretty good position to be in.

Edit... Oh I see what you mean, not work with Froome and try and do him on the line for the time bonus. Split second decision I guess seeing that he was getting a gap on everyone else.

Other way round, surely? I'd say that was a job well done for Porte on that stage.

Good racing. Froome still looks shit on a bike but he can shift.

Great stage today. Good to see Pinot pip Bardet and provide Froome a little more breathing space. Great attack from Dan Martin as well.

I've got all the stages recorded but realistically I'm going to have time to watch half an hour of one tonight

Anyone care to advise ? (preferably without saying "the one where .... destroys the field in the final 10k")

Stage 5 was probably where the race was won. Stages 6 and 7 really just shuffled the podium a bit.

Finish of stage 3 was pretty tense.

They've all been good though. Great racing.
