OK, just ordered another P7 torch, this one is rated at 900 lumens same as my first P7 but is a D bin emmitter rather than a C bin, if the lumen output is the same whats the difference??
normally i believe its the colour of the light that changes, sometimes with different bins you get different lumens but normally you get bright light at a bad colour initially and then as the bins progress they get the light in better colour temp...
Isn't the P7 made by souel ssc rather than cree?
I think the crees are about 230 lumen so your 900 lumen P7 must be really good. What do you think about it? what batteries / run time do you get? do I need to upgrade from cree?
Teh P7 is effectivly 4 of the normal high power chips on one base - so 900 ish L rather than 230ish. Cree do an MCE which is the equivalent of the P7
Bin rating is a measure of how bright the chip is - manufacture is inexact so they are graded
