My bottom Bracket is emiting loud creaks n groans !
Is this a sign of impending bearing failure.
How do u access these new type BB on a Marin Bolias ridge ,or are they sealed ,used to do old style BB( axle n cotter pins )but this looks different with toothed ring on inside 1????
I always find it's worth lying the bike on its side overnight and running some lube down the axle, but if it still creaks you'll have to replace it. All sorts of fancy tools needed as well as the BB itself.

DIY job usually I think. You need the tool to undo/do up the bottom bracket but it will pay for itself in 2 changes over paying a shop to do it.
The tool depends on the bottom bracket though, and not sure what you have on your bike, someone here will though.
