XTR cables, only about 3 week old - and they creak like a bugger! still work fine but the creak is doing my nut in. whats the best way to cure it? grease?

The cables on my last bike creaked & I traced it to the outer being a bit long and moving the ferries in the cable stops. A bit of trimming improved it but never got completely rid.

Same as above, it was the cable ferrules that creaked on mine, was using clarkes cables with metal ends.

If they run under the bottom bracket, stick a bit of oil/grease in the channel the cable runs through. Worked for me 🙂

Ferrules and frame cable guides need cleaning & a bit of lube.
