Bloody chain reaction. Got a few items in my basket, sub £100. Spot a voucher posted on here, great I think £10 off. Go to order, Park tool spanner set £45 last week now £54. Great sale CRC, I'm sticking with Merlin and UK Bike store.
Anyone else had similar.
Ps. Many thanks to those that post the voucher codes.

Did you put those things in your basket when the price drop was on and then they went up when it finished......?

I guess the Park Tool is not in this Sale then.

There was quite a lot of Park stuff in the last sale, was it on a bigger discount before?

FWIW, it's a narrow escape, that set's not worth £45- pretty ordinary tools with a price hike for people who want to colour coordinate their toolkit 😉

The spanners were not marked up as in sale. I put in basket at 45 and left them a week or so until I spotted a voucher code on here. 20% seems a big hit to me, but hey it's their prerogative.
Northwind thanks for comment. I did wonder about spanners but the extra 10 off convinced me. Think I'll just buy a regular quality set, no nice colour though.
Will order my sealskinz from Merlin.
Cheers all.

Its not only CRC that do this you know. Merlin and every other shop going do it.

Yeah you need to keep your eye out closely for the better items in these clearance sales and if you miss out then its no good wingeing on here. I've been doing well with some great deals in the last few months - mostly from CRC. Get on the ball!

Last weekend I picked up a Reverb for £145, this week the best price is £250. You snooze, you lose !

CRC are the cycling equivalent of used car dealers when it comes to their pricing, I absolutely frickin hate their policy of headline pricing stuff only to find out it's in a weird size and the normal stuff is normal prices. I don't even bother checking out their prices most of the time these days and just buy elsewhere

As above if you're a regular visitor to the sites you can see what ChainMerlinWiggle do with their pricing.

Great deals from time-to-time but the 'sales' are not always what they seem.

To redress the balance a bit, CRC had some cracking deals on Formula brakes last Monday. Some of the descriptions & pics were missing however, and by the time they had responded to my email inquiry the price had gone back up. After moaning a bit, they honoured the Monday price.

In the basket for a week before buying? Is that like calling dibs on a bargain on the classifieds, and then moaning when a week later it is sold to someone else?

Their best parts deal at the mo has to be the M486 brakes
