Partly my fault for not keeping the post office returns receipt, but I ordered a dropper from CRC- and the wrong size arrived.
I returned it using their included returns slip, asking for an exchange.
They say they haven't received it (3 weeks later) and won't refund or replace it unless I give them the tracking number from the return- which I don't have.
The post office can't trace it from the original tracking number, and can't process a lost item claim as CRC are the customer as they paid for the return.
CRC (unlike Amazon) say they are unable to keep records of the returns code they include with each parcel- so they have no electronic trail of the return being scanned in the post office- and won't refund without the tracking number, so I've lost my money and have nothing to show for it.
It may have been lost in the post, or equally lost within CRC- but I can't prove it either way.
Has anyone experienced this before?
I'm strictly a local bike shop only customer from now on.
Never had a problem, but do always keep the postage details until it's all been processed. Expecting that the day I lose the receipt is the day something vanishes on it's way back to them
