If any of you are making a CRC order tonight be aware....

I ordered a pair of shoes and pedals tonight and confirmed the order as normal. I then got a message telling me there was a problem and try again later. I tried again shortly after and got the same message. I tried a third time on a different PC (You can see where this is going can't you?)and got the same message. I've checked my bank account and low and behold the money is missing. I've just checked my order status and I have three pairs of shoes and pedals on order now....

Just a heads up....

Sounds as efficient as my order placed last Friday, goods arrived on Monday and an email telling me the order was dispatched arrived on Tuesday night!

Have you had email confirmations of each order? Did you check your crc account after placing the first order to see if it hd actually gone through?

Not seen order confirmation to my email but they show as processing on my CRC account page. I didn't think to look after the first purchase failed. Lesson learned there then. This is the first time I've had problems with them in the years I've been ordering....

This.

I had the same error placing an order earlier, but checked my account, and it had gone through - the email did arrive a while after.

I've had a few issues with the CRC ordering system lately. My goods have arrived in a reasonable time, however, I've been receiving multiple dispatch messages for one order or dispatch messages after I've received the order or simply no dispatch message! This makes me think I've placed more than 1 order but it doesnt appear to be the case.

I had the same issue last night, but luckily checked my account before re-ordering. Sounds like a problem with their servers.

EDIT: I also reckon that they'll sort any problems with minimal fuss. They've been good with me in the past when I've mis-ordered something.

They've got the free returns stuff now so just chuck'em back in the envelope, stick the sticker on and take them to the post office.

CRC do seem to be having a few issues recently. I have taken advantage of some of their weekend offers like spend £100 and get £17 pounds off and found that the whole process is slower than normal. In the past I have often ordered on a Sunday and had goods delivered on Tuesday.
My last order placed on Saturday was still processing on Tuesday afternoon. However, when I checked on Wednesday morning it was showing as Dispatched Shipping Date: 19/03/2012 00:00:00
So there are obviously some glitches in the system maybe caused by the amount of orders that these promotions are generating. My stuff arrived on Thursday which is fine but not their normal super fast delivery.

Just an update, I emailed last night and have just had an email back from CRC telling me everything is sorted, all before nine in the morning. I can't argue with customer service like that.

Ive ordered twice off CRC & had problems with both items, the first being a simple light bracket which was damaged when it arrived.

Looked like someone had cut through it with a knife so im guessing it was when they opened the boxes in the warehouse.

Second was a Tyre that wasnt delivered in the time they promised & the Track & Trace number wouldnt work.

It arrived shortly after, but perhaps I was just unlucky.

Gotta say though the customer service is brilliant with the light bracket being replaced straight away & constant communication with a lovely Irish girl in Dispatch until the day the tyre arrived.

I wouldnt hesitate to use CRC again despite these incidents.

All the more reason to support your LBS. No issues with a product you can examine before buying and no postage or phone calls to sort out problems. Just the best deal another rider can offer you.

CRC knocks the spots off my lbs, and the faceless cold interface of the computer is far better than that of the disinterested dead eyes of the spotty chimps at my lbs that I have to engage with when I want them to spend weeks ordering in a part I can get cheaper online.
