Any one recommend a bomb proof case for an iphone4s. Don't need to access when riding but needs to be safe in back pack. Usually kept in polybag for waterproofing so just impact proof.

I use a case with mine so none of the waterproof ones fitted, in the end I got this which fits fine if you add some extra padding inside.

Worth noting that with the 4s the lcd bit is attached to the screen so if you crack it then its fuggin expensive to replace. Its a change from previous iphones. May be worth looking at a hard case that won't get crushed.

I have a Tech21 D30 (sort of high tech impact deadening plastic) case. That with a screen protector and plastic bag seems to work for me. You could go for an Otterbox for complete waterproof but I tend to have dropped my 3GS rather than have risked getting it wet.

Check CRC. I just ordered a Deuter phone pouch that attaches to your shoulder strap. Keeps it out of harms way and handy for taking photos and that.

I've always found the bigger ones of these pretty bomb proof.

Another vote for the Alp Kilt padded cell, we work as MTB guides and instructors so we rely on our phones allot, these are ace value and also easy to use with i phones, we have tried hard cases but they were just too cumbersome for our use if that helps?

I have smashed a phone before on a trip to Bulbion before now so am a bit cautious, as well as being naturally clumsy. These phones are not cheap to replace. I liked the look of the Iglu but have just ordered one of these Tank

Ignoring the typical USA hype I actually liked the look of the shutter for the front screen.

Old nokia, stick your sim in that while you're out on the bike

Just bought a Lifeproof case for mine. You have to take a good hard swallow before paying as it is proper pricey and only comes from the states and you have to add expensive postage and import duty. The screen cover takes a bit of getting used to and to settle flat but I now have a dust proof, drop(ish) proof and waterproof phone.
