Looking to see if anyone owns or has used the gorilla pod mount, thinking of getting one for use with my gopro and normal digi cam.. They any good? Any alternatives out there?

Yes, have two - one for compact camera and one for SLR. Not used the SLR version yet, but love the compact one. I did have a cheaper version to begin with, which promptly broke in no time.

They are awesome. Great to take out biking. I've attached mine to all kinds of things out on the trail. I've got the big one.
I have SLR one, I use it for my Canon G10, it's not so good with an SLR, but still sort of works.
I used a mini one with a Fuji Finepix to make this video. It was pretty cool to be able to mount the camera on branches, poke sticks in the ground and use them as monopods, etc. Almost enough to compensate for my thorougly pedestrian riding.
I think they are excellent. The missus (official family photographer...) has one, it's great.
i have a cheaper copy (£6) for my SLR and its great.
I have one. It's sh1te. Big and bulky. I think I used it twice, found it was crap and never touched it again.

£6 copy one off ebay, works fine , fits in pocket, er whats not to like? 🙄
I really like them. Have 3! One mini one for compact camera and 2 are SLR models. Just got surplus one for my birthday... Didn't have the heart to tell them I already had one.
