after me being lazy and cheap not spending another £15 on the proper tool using my sqr taper one with a bolt

bottom bid dosnt make sense i have got the bolt stuck in the crankset after removing the stupid locknutringthingi and trying to use my square taper crank puller on octalink cranks? ithink? shimano xt ones
Those are self extracting crank bolts I think. You leave the ring in and loosening the allan bolt pushes against the ring and pulls the crank off.
If you have jammed a bolt in the hollow axle then remove the other side and hit it thru with a long drift.
