If you read this tongue-in-cheek article it just about sums up the whole bike industry at the moment.

On a serious note though, the profile pic for 2014 looks like it wouldn't seat tubeless as well as previous models. For all the CB faults, one thing I really like is a tubeless ready or even non ready Maxxis goes up and stays up, never burps. Unlike what I see of a lot of other brands. To me it's the rim profile that's key.

It's bang on with the rim replacement though. Had a warranty job due to a cracked seam and couldn't get a replacement rim from CB/2pure, not even the whole wheel, if I wanted the wheels to match, as it was a special edition and they didn't have one. Argued that surely the rim could be swapped as it was a standard black rim. Nope. Only whole wheel.

Weird, 2pure have such a good rep on warranty and repairs.

It got sorted through the LBS (was an ex-demo from them so was dealing with them really who dealt with 2pure) and swapped for another wheel of the same they had. I think 2pure would have replaced the wheel, just not for the same so I'd have had a mismatch in the colour of the bling bits. Just seemed odd they can't just replace the rim, but that's what I've heard generally about CB wheels.

To be fair they also sorted my other warranty issue, that being the freehub cracking around the lockring thread (swiss cheese ali freehubs ๐Ÿ˜‰ ). Replaced no problem.
