Just collected new B Fe from LBS. New '3'edition with replaceable mech hanger , new graphics on satin black , looks better than the earlier reflective ones I think.Basically I've rebuilt my FS Cube AMS Pro into this frame, decision was made after spending more time on my Sanderson Soloist recently and really enjoying it so I've went for a 19" Beefy and put all the newly replaced parts onto it, Fox RL 140mm up front and running a 1 x 9 with a 36 Renthal chainring. Future addition will be a dropper seatpost which will hopefully make it a great all-rounder.Looking forward to giving it a shakedown tomorrow morning.

Sounds good. Those new frames look brilliant and a lot more fork choice with the new head tube. Hope first blast goes well. We need pics of this new beefy 😀

It's a great all round bike with or without a dropper post. Personally I went for adjustable forks 150/120 rather than a dropper post on my Mk2. No doubt in my mind you'll have great fun with it.

Enjoy!

Getting late , lost this text 3 times already on this silly bloody laptop. Pics are on Flickr under ..New Cotic B Fe.. in GoGibsons photostream. This morning ride was great. Really like the way it picks up speed compared to the FS Cube. Any advice on posting pics?

Looks interesting, assuming thats a 30.9 seatpost on it??

Would be tempting if the shipping to Oz is resonable

http://www.flickr.com/photos/40386180@N00/3625820363/ Thanks for votes on the van. Takes 5 bike and 5 folk and gear perfectly. Seatpost is same size as old Cube post at 30.9 so same as MK2 frames.

Seatpost is 31.6. Shipping to Oz is about £75, but you don't pay UK VAT at this end.

Looks sweet BTW. First new gritstone I've seen built. New graphics look even better on a complete bike. Enjoy!

Thanks velocipede. Big Blue the G Wagen has with me for about 12 yrs now and has went through a few changes . I compete in winch challenge events with AE4x4 Club. Will try and attach link to some video of our last event at Dalbeattie, will put photo of the turtle impersonation we did on that event on flickr as well. Back to bikes ... took the Cotic out for a proper blast around the local trails with the rest of the guys in Glenafton Bike Club. All I could think was that this frame was only £330 , no sore back albeit you have to spend more time out the saddle but it can pick its feet up when you ask it to. Tonight, a dropper seat post would have been a help but otherwise a brilliant bike , the old cube has been given a new lease of life.Well Done Cy, your a bit clever I think! 8)

Just add Thanks to Craig and David at Sprockets today who helped sort out my chain jumping problem - worn middle set of sprockets on rear cassette highlighted by fitting the new chain.
