I've got some and I agree it's good stuff, I just put it on the rub points.. under cable and the point I clamp the frame onto the roof carrier.. it does yellow after a few years, but is heavy duty stuff IMHO

Second that - I have some on the bike and the car (where rack mounts) and its fine after nearly 2 years of use and UV.

Use Bikesheild, available from some bikeshops, Sideways Cycles sell it. Better than Helitape by far!

I've just bought some from Helitape.co.uk. Website is still been devloped so drop this guy a mail.

duanebw@googlemail.com

£9 a metre (although just did me 3m for £23) and next day delivery. Used his stuff before and lasted longer than the frame 😉

Trident Racing in Silverstone....dirt cheap, does not yellow and sticks like s**t to an army blanket. Probably where the Ebayers get it from before adding a big %.

Google for the number 🙂

Always posted 1st class RM.

Thanks for this thread folks, I got a new bike too and so I've ordered 1m off Duane. I reckon 1m x 100mm will do 3 bikes: that's 100 1cm x 10cm strips (obviously) which is quite a lot.

Cheers, al.
