I've got a Pro II hub that I need to convert to 20mm from QR.
Only problem is I can't get the QR spacers out, is there a nack to doing this? I thought they were just meant to slide out!
they screw together in the centre! just unscrew! i nearly destroyed mine by repeatedly hitting them too!
Watched that video already, he just seems to pull it out easy! I've tried unscrewing and have been pulling like buggery with a pair of pliers.
Still no luck!
ah. mine might be a bulb. sorry for confusing!

Err.. no they don't. Bulbs did, though.
There's a little metal retaining clip you have to remove on each side, then they just pop out.
[Edit] That might only be from 20mm to QR, I can't remember [/Edit]

Cheers for the help. Managed to get them out with a skewer and a hammer, still took a fair bit of force mind.
Next question: how do you get the bearings out? ๐
They just pull out. They are retained by a rubber 'O' ring that gets dry and hence sticks. The best way I have found is to try and spray a bit of GT40 etc around the sides of the adaptor and then clamp it in a vice (with jaw guards)and pull the wheel away whilst rotating.
Another way is to use a pair of mole grips with suitable jaw protection.
They will pull off honest.
Like !00.. says. I used molgrips with a cloth sandwhiched between jaws and metal to prevent marking / damage. Went steady with the molgrips so only applied the least necessary clamping just on the off chance it might damage or deform something.
The screw thru adapter was for Bulb hubs. Doesn't apply to Pro11s as they are separate inserts to each side of the hub.
Circlips are only used to hold the 20mm axle adapters on the hub (for both Pro11s and Bulbs).
They can be a bit of a bugger but will come out. A little lub dripped in and around might help although I managed with out.
Finally done.
Completely stripped and cleaned, new bearings should be arriving tomorrow. Mmmmm, new hub.
Skewer and hammer for me also.
