[Closed] Converting kinesis wheels to 142 - am I being stupid?

Anybody shed any light on this.. I have a set of maxlight IX wheels which have been running standard qr for 2 years. just come to convert to 142x12 for my new frame, which they do do and using the included different axle and end caps it comes out at 130mm wide, miles off what i need.
Am I being thick here? I've got nothing else with them at all, just the 130mm axle and the end caps. Should there be a spacer of some sort?
