Need some bigger rubber on my steed after trashing my back wheel running some 2.1 Speed Kings at penmach. I like Continental Speed Kings or Mountain Kings. Anybody any experience of running either 2.3 S King or 2.4 M King on 'standard' width 4.2 rims. Cheers
I ran 2.4 mountain kings on those rims for a while, no issues
The old 2.4 Mountain Kings are pretty narrow, nothing like the claimed size, so will probably be OK.
Will be fine just may need a little more pressure to stop it squirming.
I've got to say that MK's are pretty pants. I ran them for ages but having swapped them out for something else I now realise they have some serious failings.
They'll fit though, perhaps you should try the MK2 MK's if you can find some, I have a pair on back order as I am a glutton for punishment.
