Hope you guys sort out whatever differences of opinion have happened in the past. Shame I can't make it.

There were 10 riders, Yoshimi (Danny),Deejay (Dave), Donc (Dave), Lowey (Dave), Faz, Steve, Brian, Junkyard (Johnny), Ton (thanks for the lift Tony!), SFB (Evil antichrist)

we did 20 miles round Grizedale & Claife (and NOT Coniston as I'd expected), following most of the route chosen by Fagus but with Titty's track snuck in at the end, and a different DH to Esthwaite. As far as I could tell the others were able to resist my toxic influence, and they resisted the temptation to kick 7 shades of shite out of me and leave me bleeding and broken in the middle of nowhere :o)

And yes, it was good fun, with Deejay and I (the oldest 2) kicking the young un's arses on many of the climbs ๐Ÿ™‚

Weather initially grim and drizzly but later glorious sunshine ๐Ÿ™‚

What time did you set off in the end?

I would have liked to have gone but didnt get up till later than I wanted to so had to go for a ride on my own. I did cycle through Grizedale on my way back home though.

In my defence my forks had stopped working and the brakes were back to the bars - poor bike preparation I know but that one had'nt been used for a while.

Yosh - how are the legs?

That was a cracking ride, quite a hard 20 miles but some great descents. Thanks to everyone for making it such a good day out and to Yoshi for the lift. Post ride tea and cake in the car park was a nice touch too!

Oh, and Frank/Fagus, I'm not sure what I did to upset you, I can only suppose it was some kind of misunderstanding, but I'm famous for inadvertently antagonising people and I do apologise - I'm happy enough to ride with people I actively dislike, never mind those I cannot remember. Had you attended the ride hopefully we could have sorted the matter out. You missed a good laugh ๐Ÿ™

I take pleasure in picking my own scabs - other peoples' are just gross ๐Ÿ™ Oh, and TJ was correct, picking them encourages infection ๐Ÿ™

listen, I never want anyone to crash, but if they're gonna then surely they want every detail captured ??

... and actually I was wrong, it was 13 shots ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi Simon, I went away to RTFM but got a bit lost so gave up after a bit of swearing. I right click the link and the only save option i have is 'save target as'.....so click this, a dialogue box pops up to save but I only have the oprtion to save as a safari document.....I've had a good play but not got any further.......this is when I started to read the instructions and thought, I'll leave it till tomorrow ๐Ÿ˜•
