Thompson might be tough, but it hurts.

Are there any 400mm carbon seatposts out there with a warrenty that makes the eyewatring price easier to swallow i.e. lifetime or at least 5 years?

Or should I go for a thudbuster ST?

I'm pretty happy with my Van Nic Ti one.

Lynskey do a lifetime warranty one too if you're flush...

moots ti or similar. carbon is comfy but i trust ti more on bikes that get the seatpost dropped a lot or get heavier use. a warranty may not ease the potential pain of a broken carbon post )

a good ti 27.2mm x 400mm post is a worthy investment i think.

My 27.2 400mm Easton EC90 is great, trail buzz and smallbumps are smoothed out. Not worried about it breaking after watching carbon strength demos.

Though if your heavey, or drop the post a lot you may want to try Ti.

Hadn't thought about the abrasion resistance of it, how much is the Van-Nick one?

I did my research at uni into bending and fatigue failiures of carbon hockey sticks, if easton posts are half as good as their sticks I'd trust them.
