Last year we did the c2c, Whitehaven to Tynemouth and enjoyed it.

Looking at another trip for this year, what are the Hadrians & Reivers routes like?

I am reading through the official sites, but I wanted to see what other riders though of it.....both good and bad points...

Been a while since I did the Reivers. If I remember it's not as challenging as the C2C, not as many climbs but it's a bike ride so can't complain.

Can't comment on those too, but can recommend the Sustrans Penine cycleway, at least the northern section, which I did from Penrith to Berwick a few years ago. Did it in three days and the last day was much nicer than the last day of the C2C into Sunderland.

The hadrians seems to take a while to get started for me. Day one up the coast is a bit dull, but it's a good enough ride. It's not as well signed as the C2C. Don't forget Walney to Wear either.

The main reason why I am asking is that I am accompanying a group up there to do the c2c, but I was thinking of doing a reccy on either the Hadrians or Reivers route...
