[Closed] Coil Revelations: What spring and how "heavy" are you?

Well my 07 Coil Revs packed up and I'm sending them to TF for their first service. Currently have the standard spring in but always felt that was too soft for me. Was using the lockout lever to slow the fork down but it appears that I've knackered it this way and the forks don't compress more than an inch.

Just filling the forms for the service and spring upgrade. Anyone here moved up one and did the firmer spring do what you expected or was the difference not as much as you expected? I'm 13st + bike gear and I was bottoming out far too often. Due to finance issues I was prepared to swap the forks for some rigids but my folks gave me some cash at the weekend so all's good. Just wanted some stories of people who've upgraded really. Ta.

I'm well impressed with the service off TFTuned, just had some Fox Floats 130RLC's done, serviced and pushed, they are buttery smoooooth.
I also fancy getting my coil revs done, they have the standard spring, travel is good, just feel a bit numb on the small bump stuff, I'm about 13 stone.

Can give you a report of what they are like when done if that helps the decision?

I wonder if a service and some slightly lighter oil would help with the small bump compression? Mind you, might make the bigger hits a little harder? I'm no suss hexpert tbf. Eagerly awaiting mine coming back. Least it's only a few days.

Yep, tell us how you get on.
I've probably reduced the small bump sensitivity with more damping for the big stuff, can't change it, adjuster has seized.

I'm 15st and have just ordered the xtra firm spring for my Pikes and Revs. Being able to bottom them out on a flat bit of road just by pushing hard was a bit disconcerting!

Where you located tang?
I have a soft spring for 07 Rev U-turns that i could let go for £20. Can't be arsed with posting so if you are in or near London we could have a win win.
