Sorry. This must have been asked a zillion times before. But.. can anyone recommend places to stay at Coed for 7 riders. Self catering is good.

I have stayed here before ( http://www.logcabinswales.co.uk/home.php?/home ). It was fine. But any suggestions / advice much appreciated.

Yours

cae gwyn. we've stayed there several times, the b&b is good, the camping barn is adequate and we haven't tried the self-catering, but it looked reaaly nice.
lovely people, lovely place, right on the doorstep of coed y brenin

Heulwen B&B is very good too.
Two downsides though: Firstly theres no pub in the village and secondly, its on top of a big hill which is the last thing I wanted after a days riding.

campsite down on the estuary near dolglegwotsit.

from coedy hit the roundabout turn right coupe of miles down the road on the right.
Campsite is as basic as they come but you can have fire and its little used this time of year apart from the sheep.
pub and shop near by

The pub is the Tyn Y Groes. Recommended. Always had great service and a great welcome from Derek and Linda. Even when arriving late one evening after a long drive up, they knew we were coming.....the pints were on the bar as we walked in! Quality. Many other great tales to tell.

Another option - http://www.bryncemlyn.co.uk/index.html - Can be a bit iffy, but good value. We had no hot water on one trip, which was far from ideal...However...

We popped up the road to the Tyn y and mentioned we had no hot water. Derek said, "Why not just use one of our showers. Tell you what, give me £1 each for towels and stuff and you can go ahead".
We handed over our coins. He put them straight in to the air ambulance collection tin.

Can you tell that I like the Tyn y Groes?
